Brave Chic – Jaime Hilton
Jaime C. Hilton is a social worker with a focus on serving marginalized populations. She has previously worked with at risk families in the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), survivors of domestic violence, children with behavioral disorders, adolescents in an inner-city school setting and is currently working in a clinical outpatient setting. Jaime has over 8 years of experience working diverse clients and implementing both long-term and brief interventions. She also has current training in perinatal mood disorders specific to post partum depression.
Jaime graduated from Louisiana State University with both her graduate degree in Social Work and her undergraduate degree in Sociology. Jaime also earned a minor in Psychology and has always enjoyed the intricate process of how the human mind directly affects behavior. Additionally, Jaime comes from a diverse cultural background which awarded her the opportunity to learn Spanish as her first language. Her particular interests rest in the area of social justice, diversity and race relations.
Jaime believes that the core of values social work: service, social justice, dignity and worth of the individual, relationships, integrity and competence are deeply ingrained in who she is as a woman of faith, a wife and mother.
